No government quarantine facilities on King Island
As previously stated, all persons coming to Tasmania, including returning residents, are required to either register via the Tas e-Travel system or apply for a G2G Pass before they arrive. Further details on this can be found on the coronavirus.tas.gov.au website.
A direction issued by State government earlier this week confirms that there are no government quarantine facilities on King or Flinders Islands. This means that any person arriving to the Islands from a medium or high risk area will be need to be in possession of a G2G Pass that specifies an address on the Islands to complete the required period of quarantine or states no quarantine is required.
A person arriving on King or Flinders Island who does not meet these requirements will immediately need to either leave the Island or transit to mainland Tasmania to quarantine in a government accommodation facility at their own expense.
