In accordance with section 274(3) of the Local Government Act 1993, the Electoral Commissioner will call for new nominations for 1 unfilled vacancy on King Island Council by notice in the Advocate newspaper on Wednesday 21 September.
Please Take care on roads
Due to the current wet weather, our road network is under considerable pressure. Once the weather conditions improve, we will undertake pot holing and grading. Please take extra care and drive to the conditions by reducing speed and follow signage when travelling on the road network.
Dogs prohibited at the Racecourse
Race horses are now in training for the upcoming Race Season. Council would ask that the community refrain from walking their dogs at the racecourse. This measure is undertaken for safety reasons. Signage is in place at the entrance of this facility.
