We all rely on local government services every day — whether it’s for waste and recycling, parks and playgrounds, footpaths and roads or other community services.
Councils act as a voice for their local communities, advocating for the delivery of services and support, including from other levels of government.
This means we all have a stake in local government and its future.
The Tasmanian Government, through the Local Government Board, is undertaking a review of the role, function and design of local government in Tasmania.
