King Island Airport is located 10 minutes north from the Island’s main township, Currie. Owned and operated by King Island Council, the Airport has become a bustling transit hub for local travellers, commuters and tourists.
Facilities include the King Island Airport Cafe, public toilets, visitor information brochures, free parking and disability access.

Landing Charges
Charges for aircraft landing at the airport are levied on a per tonne basis. This is determined on the aircraft’s maximum take-off weight, as shown in the Australian Aircraft Register. Any aircraft landing under an approved pavement concession will pay an increased landing charge, based on their percentage overload. This fee will be confirmed at the time that a pavement concession request is approved.Training touch and go landings will only be charged one landing fee. |
