King Island Hub – Open for community

Council is proud to have King Island Regional Development Organisation (KIRDO) staff and volunteers officially call the King Island Hub “home”.

From Monday 4 August, KIRDO will be staffing the Visitor Information Centre and Online Access Centre in the main Hub building at 38 Lighthouse Street. KIRDO’s extensive business services – printing, scanning, binding, and more – will be transitioning from 5 George Street to the Hub over the next two weeks, with the move anticipated to be complete by Monday 18 August.

Open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, all community members are invited to use the Hub for a quiet BYO coffee, a catch up with a friend, or a place to get some work done through the free Starlink internet connection.

Bookings for private meetings and events in the Hub or in one of the offices in the Annexe can be made through Council’s customer service team or by using Council’s facilities hire form.

If you have any questions about the Hub, the Annexe, or how to make best use of these exciting new community assets, please contact Council by email at kicouncil@kingisland.tas.gov.au or by phone at 03 6462 9000.
