King Island – Child and Youth Safe Organisations Information Sessions

On 19 December 2023, the Governor of Tasmania, Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker announced the appointment of Louise Coe as the Independent Regulator of the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Framework.

As of the 1 January 2024, organisations related to the Framework’s criteria were legislatively required to comply. For further information on the Office of the Independent Regulator (OIR) and the Framework please visit the OIR

The Independent Regulator (IR) will be providing a series of information and engagement sessions throughout 2024 with herself and members of her Team. These sessions aim to:

  • Provide you with the opportunity to meet and talk with the Regulator and members of her Team,
  • Hear from the Regulator about the Child and Youth Safe Standards and the Reportable Conduct Scheme,
  • For you to provide suggestions on how you would like to receive information from the OIR (i.e. training/guidance).

As a key stakeholder within this setting, Louise would like to invite you or a representative of your organisation to attend one of these sessions at the following locations:

Monday 17 June 2024 (6:00pm – 8:00pm)
King Island – Venue – King Island Hotel
Tuesday 18 June 2024 (4:00pm – 6:00pm)
King Island – Venue – King Island Hotel

Light refreshments will be provided at each of the sessions.
