Safeguarding Volunteering – Community Consultation

Volunteering is an integral part of the King Island community, with volunteers and volunteer-led organisations providing a broad range of services, from emergency response to sports and recreation opportunities, wellbeing to child care.

Supported by Volunteering Tasmania, a group of King Islanders have formed a co-design group to drive the creation of a strategy to safeguard the future of volunteering in our community. This group are now seeking your input on what works well and what can be improved in the way our community attracts, supports and utilises volunteers.

An online survey is available via the link below. Alternatively, a hard copy of this survey will be available to pick up at Council offices and other locations around the Island.

Responses are due by April 22 to allow collation of the data and to inform the group’s discussion at the next meeting schedule for early May.
