Community Gym and Wellbeing Facility
Council has received funding from the Commonwealth Government for the development of a community gym and wellbeing facility and improvements to netball and tennis courts at the Currie Oval precinct.
Our consultant team, including @leisure and Dock4 Architects, will be on the Island this week to give community members the chance to give their feedback on the project and the direction they would like it to go. Conversations have already been had with many of the key stakeholders on and off the Island and these have focused around four key questions:
- What type of facilities do you see the gym and wellbeing centre having?
- What type of service, class or activity would you look to use in a new centre, and how often would you use it?
- What are the key components that you would need to be able to to use the new gym and wellbeing centre?
- How do you think these facilities should be managed?
You are welcome to provide your answers to these questions and anything else you may want to share by completing the form below.
