Have you scheduled a time to give your feedback on King Island’s draft recreation Plan?
The draft report on a proposed King Island Recreation Plan has been submitted to Council by consultants, @leisure planners, for consideration and comment by the community.
The consultants prepared the draft report on the basis of consultations with recreation stakeholders; workshops with the community and Council; and views expressed by participants in a community survey. The consultant’s budget did not extend to conducting data collection surveys and analysis.
The draft report proposes recommendations for the community, clubs/groups/associations or Council to implement.
The consultants have asked you to submit your comments on the Have Your Say page of Council’s website by close of business on Friday 22 November 2019.
The consultants will be on-Island on Sunday 17 November 2019 and Monday 18 November 2019 to conduct feedback sessions with recreation stakeholders and the community.
- Sunday 17 November 2019 at 6pm at the Council Chambers – 10 George Street
- Monday 18 November 2019 at 12.30pm to 2pm at the Council Chambers – 10 George Street
After considering comments and feedback, the consultants will prepare and submit their final report and recommendations before the end of 2019.
Recommendations intended for Council will be considered by a Working Group of Councillors. The Working Group will coordinate this process with recreation stakeholders and the community.
The Working Group will advise Council on recommendations to be included in Council’s Strategic and Annual Plans and future budgets.
