Garage Sale Trail

King Island Council is proud to announce that it has signed up to the 2022 Garage Sale Trail. This national festival of pre-loved stuff takes place over four weekends from 29 October to 20 November and encourages residents to sell, shop and learn about the circular economy.

Between 29 October and 5 November, the King Island community can be part of the Trail Tutorials, a series of inspiring and educational talks all about sustainable fashion and renovations. Featuring Barry Du Bois, Annabel Crabb and Craig Reucassel—alongside experts in fashion, home renovations and the circular economy—the sessions are hosted online and free to attend.

Then, over two weekends of garage sales hosted simultaneously around the nation, declutter and sell pre-loved goods or shop the trail and snag a guilt-free bargain locally on 12-13 and 19-20 November.

Not keen to host your own sale, but still want to take part? Council is opening up the Town Hall on Saturday 12 November from 10am to 1pm for any community members or organisations who want to take part.
